NOSA-ITACA Project

The NOSA-ITACA code has been developed by integrating the finite element code NOSA into the open-source platform SALOME. The code enables evaluation of the static safety and seismic vulnerability of historic buildings, as well as assessment of strengthening operations. It is at the disposal of private and public bodies operating in the field of the conservation and safeguarding of the cultural heritage.

Aims

  • To develop an original numerical code for studying the static and dynamic behaviour of masonry buildings.
  • To place the code at the disposal of private and public bodies operating in the field of the conservation and safeguarding of the cultural heritage, and provide any necessary training courses and consultancy on its use.

Application area

  • Conservation and protection of the national architectural heritage subjected to seismic risk.
